Professor Was Mansoor has been practising at The Christie since 1999. After publishing his PhD researching CART cell immune therapies directed against oesophago-gastric cancers, he continued to pursued his interest in oesophagogastric cancers and is now heads the oesophago-gastric department, which provides a specialised service to patients, incorporating access to many cutting edge trials.
Professor Mansoor is also the chair/ lead of the Systemic Therapy Research group focused on developing cutting edge chemotherpay based clinical trials. He is the research lead for the Greater Manchester Upper GI pathway board and sits on many national and international committes where he contributes to national and international upper GI cancer policy.
He specialises in Oesophageal cancer, oesophagogastric cancer, stomach cancer, gastric cancer, neuroendocrine cancer, adrenal cancer, colorectal cancer.
