



Cardiothoracic Surgery
Professor Victor Tsang is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon based at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has a specialist interest in adult congenital heart surgery and neonatal cardiac surgery.
After graduating from the Westminster Medical School, University of London, Mr Victor Tsang undertook his cardiothoracic surgical training at the Royal Brompton and London Chest Hospitals. For two years he was a Lecturer and Research Fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute under Professor Magdi Yacoub. Following this, he completed further training Dr Roger Mee at Melbourne Children's Hospital in Australia. He took up his first consultancy post at Southampton University Hospital in 1994, before being appointed to Great Ormond Street, where he’s worked for over 14 years.
Mr Tsang has carried out operations in Scandinavia, Germany, and China / Hong Kong, as well as leading charity missions in the Caribbean. He has also published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and one of the three editors of a world-renowned paediatric cardiac surgical textbook. He is regularly invited to speak at both national and international conferences.
