“Professor Kochhar and his entire team have been extremely helpful. I am seeing other specialists for other conditions at the same time and by far his team have been the most friendly and efficient. Makes it feel like my shoulder condition is well taken care of. Thank you.“

    About

I have been a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon since 2006, with special interest in shoulder, elbow, upper limb surgery. My practice is based around the principle that an early accurate diagnosis and prompt specialist treatment will lead to a faster recovery and return to work.

My team and I have a commitment to best practice for all my patients. We use only the best and latest techniques. I am an expert in keyhole surgery and minimally invasive procedures to ensure that my patients have the best possible outcome from their treatment.

I completed my specialist training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, and then worked with some of the best shoulder surgeons in the world, including fellowship training in New York and the world-renowned Alps Surgery Institute in France.

I work with elite sports people and have a special interest in sports science, strength and conditioning, having recently completed a course of additional study in this field.

I am proud to work with the Faculty of Sports Science at the University of Greenwich as a Visiting Professor.

    Trigger Finger
I recently had a problem with a trigger finger which was causing my hand considerable discomfort and making some simple tasks nigh on impossible. I was recommended to see Professor Kochhar by a friend, and was able to arrange an appointment very promptly. He carried out a procedure which gave me immediate relief, and arranged a short physiotherapy follow up. My finger was soon back to normal and I now have full hand function. I have no hesitation in recommending Professor Kochhar.

Main thing is that my shoulder operation has been a success. Along the way I found Professor Kochhar to be clear and agreeable in communication. There is another treatment which I might need and here he encouraged me to wait and see ie was not trying to simply maximising revenue.
