



Oncology
Paul Lorigan is a Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Manchester and Honorary Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
He is known internationally for his clinical research into new treatments for melanoma. He is a principal investigator for a number of international clinical trials and is the Chair of the UK charity Melanoma Focus and the EORTC Melanoma Group Advanced Disease Subgroup. He has published over 200 papers, chapters and reviews and regularly invited to speak at international meetings.
Professor Lorigan graduated from Trinity College, University of Dublin in 1986 before completing specialist training in haematology and oncology. He was appointed as Honorary Consultant and Senior Lecturer in Medical Oncology at The University of Sheffield and Weston Park Hospital in 1996. He took up his post as Consultant and Senior and Lecturer at The Christie and at The University of Manchester in 2002.
