



Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Professor Omer Devaja is a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospitals and Consultant Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon for the Kent Oncology Centre. He also performs private work at the London Bridge Hospital and Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
After completing his medical training at the University Hospital Novi Sad in Yugoslavia, he went on to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In 1995 he moved to the UK to conduct research in molecular biology of ovarian and endometrial carcinoma, he was awarded a PhD in 2000. Following this he completed his subspecialty training in surgical gynaecological oncology at St Thomas’ Hospital London.
Professor Devaja specialises in laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, general gynaecology and the diagnosis and treatment gynaecological cancers. He works in partnership with Mr Andreas Papadopoulos, allowing for cross-cover of patients out of hours.
Alongside his clinical work, Professor Devaja is actively involved in clinical research and has written extensively on a variety of gynaecological conditions.
