I was 91 when I required an operation to repair a Hiatus Hernia so the choice of surgeon was rather important. However during the initial consultation I knew I had found the right man. Because of my age he adjusted the standard procedure to ensure the best possible outcome whist reducing the risk. After care was exemplary and he was present both days even though it was Saturday and Sunday.

Both Professor Mughal and his assistant were very welcoming and warm; they took time to explain things and Prof. Mughal listened to all that we said and answered all our questions honestly. My husband and I would highly recommend him. His assistant Iwona also did everything possible to make us feel comfortable. Best experience we have had with a medical appointment in the UK. It couldn’t be improved upon.

I had already met a specialist prior to Professor Mughal and was immediately a lot more comfortable and confident with Professor Mughal after our initial consultation. He exudes professionalism and calm. The process from consultation to surgery to follow-up was seamless and clear. His office were equally professional, personable and clear. Though I hope I don’t need another procedure like this at any time, if I did, I would be seeing Prof. Mughal.

He was brilliant. I had a dreadful experience with a very senior colleague of his before I asked to be referred to another and this experience was totally different. He took a lot of time, explained very clearly, and made me feel very supported. I am clear on next steps. Thank you

I was delighted to meet Professor Mughal who had been introduced to me by a colleague. He was clear and not at all insistent about my condition regarding a possible operation which concerned a large hernia. He was open about the different choices and left it to me to return should I wish to do so.
