He was featured in Tatler magazine’s Best Doctor’s Guide as one of the ‘Top Breast Surgeons’ in 2006, 2007 and 2013. He was also named in Times magazine's list of Britain's Top Doctors in 2010.

It is important that HCA is transparent about our relationship with those doctors who provide us with clinical guidance on delivering the best possible care to patients and operating our hospitals safely and efficiently. We set out here some of the ways in which we work together and the amount we pay this doctor for such services.

Just amazing! I had had a mastectomy / reconstruction elsewhere many years ago after a breast cancer diagnosis, and had recently noticed a hot, painful lump along my scar. At my initial consultation with Professor Mokbel, he was able to confirm that the silicone implant had ruptured, and scheduled me for surgery the following week. I feel very fortunate to have benefitted from his expertise, as the surgery was not at all straightforward, due to the severity of the rupture and the extent of the free silicone. He reconstructed my breast with a new implant and mesh, and also removed and replaced the old implant in the other breast at the same time - I am absolutely delighted with the aesthetic result. Professor Mokbel is wonderful - brilliant and thorough, as well as reassuring, caring and kind.

Professor Mokbel is professional and considerate. I have needed surgery on two occassions for early, unrelated breast cancer. During my consultations with Professor Mokbel, he went through all the options, choices and procedures required and made me feel confident and positive about going ahead. Surgery was arranged quickly, my recovery was excellent without any real pain or side effects. Worth doing those few stretch exercises to aid keeping full mobility if you can. Over the years I have obviously had regular check-ups and these have been with Professor Mokbel himself, and the friendly and competent team doing mammograms and scans etc. Thank you Professor Mokbel.

I have received excellent care from Professor Mokbel and his team and have always felt in 'safe hands'. I have always clearly understood the surgery being undertaken and any associated risks have been fully communicated to me. I have been under the care of Professor Mokbel since July 2018, undergone four operations and been an inpatient on six separate occasions. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I have been given throughout the course of my treatment by Professor Mokbel and his team. I am delighted with the outcome to date even at this early stage post Operatively though some further refinement may be required at a later date.

Having originally been advised I would likely need a masectomy I went to visit Professor Mokbel as I wanted to explore every avenue to try and keep my breast and had been made aware of his excellent reputation in this field. He was able to perform breast conserving surgery to remove my tumours with minimal scarring and the shape hardly affected. He really is a first class surgeon and he and his team clearly explained all aspects of my treatment and what to expect when. He was always available to talk to, and has introduced me to excellent oncologists to continue my treatment and care after surgery. I have felt extremely well looked after and cared for during my treatment for breast cancer.
