95 Harley Street, London, United Kingdom, W1G 6AFProfessor Jonathan Waxman trained at University College and University College Hospital, London, in common with a number of other consultants practising at LOC. He was the recipient of several scholarships and prizes as an undergraduate and postgraduate. He is currently Professor of Oncology at Imperial College London and consultant to the Department of Oncology at Hammersmith Hospital, for whom he played the central role in the campaign to build the Hammersmith Cancer Centre.
He founded the Prostate Cancer Charity which will raise £20m in this current financial year. Prior to joining the Hammersmith Hospital, he was an Imperial Cancer Research Fund Research Fellow at St Bartholomews Hospital.
His current clinical and laboratory research focus is prostate cancer. He has written over 400 research papers and book chapters, has authored eleven medical books, one novel, a patient information book and a legal text book. He writes on healthcare policy for major newspapers.
