Professor John Kelly is a Professor of Uro-Oncology at University College London and is also the clinical lead for Urology and robotic surgery at University College Hospital. His specialist areas of interest include prostate, bladder and renal cancer as well as the development of robotic surgery using the da Vinci Si system.
Professor Kelly qualified in 1988 from Queen's University of Belfast. Throughout his training he has won a number of awards including the Professor Geoffrey D. Chisholm Prize, the Calvert Medal, the Ethicon Foundation Prize and the British Urological Foundation Award. Professor Kelly completed his Fellowship at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Professor Kelly is the Chairman of the National Cancer Research Institute bladder clinical study group and the chief investigator for a number of large national studies.
