    About

Professor Jarrod Homer is a consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. He has almost two decades of experience and specialises in thyroid issues, neck lumps, and the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers. Professor Homer has clinical interests in the assessment of throat problems and was one of the first surgeons in the UK to perform neck ultrasound and ultrasound-guided needle biopsy. This enables patients with a lump in the neck to receive a one-stop service, avoiding separate appointments and allowing for a faster diagnosis.

Professor Homer typically treats patients with common ear, nose, and throat issues, such as a lump in the throat, repeated tonsil infections, nasal blockage, sinus problems, and facial pain. He also has a wealth of experience in cosmetic rhinoplasty and has received national recognition for his work, having successfully completed over 1000 procedures.

Professor Homer has published in over 100 peer-reviewed journals and received over £1.5 million in research grants during his tenure. He currently serves as the Clinical Chair of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Manchester, as well as an International Authority on Head and Neck Surgery.
