He has particular interest in seeing patients unexplained breathlessness or cough and takes a thorough, methodical approach to establish an accurate diagnosis and construct a personalised treatment plan for each patient.

    Professor Branley completed his Respiratory Medicine training in various teaching hospitals across London, including Royal Brompton, Hammersmith, St Mary's and Charing Cross. He also completed training in Aviation Medicine at the Royal Air Force School of Aviation Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

    Professor Branley is an Honorary NHS Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. In addition, he is passionate about medical education and is a Visiting Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the University of West London. He has also been an Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London, Imperial College London and the University of Buckingham. He undergoes annual Consultant Appraisal with revalidation by the GMC.
