Professor George Hamilton is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon based at the Royal Free NHS Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. He is also a Professor of Vascular surgery at the Royal Free and University College School of Medicine, Clinical Director of Surgery, Anaesthetics and Critical Care.
Professor Hamilton qualified in Medicine from the University of Glasgow in 1971. He went on to complete specialist training at the Royal Free Hospital in London, as well as the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard School of Medicine in America. In 1987 he took up his first Consultant post back in the UK.
He has a specialist interest in vascular and endovascular aneurysm repair and endovascular surgery. He also specialises in reno-vascular and mesenteric disease, paediatric vascular disease, venous disease and lymphedema.
