Top feedback

“Professor Kidd is caring and compassionate, attentive and extremely approachable. Unfortunately some doctors make me feel that my own observations, experiences and conclusions are worthless (referring to them as hearsay). Professor Kidd doesn't do that. He is very good at getting to the nub of a patient's health issue and tailoring a course of action to deal with the problem in the best and fastest way. I should add that Professor Kidd is also recognised as one of the country's top experts in this field.“

    About

Professor Kidd is a consultant rheumatologist and also professor of clinical rheumatology at Barts & The London School of Medicine & Dentistry. He has a special interest in chronic musculoskeletal pain and assists patients with symptoms arising from spinal disorders, inflammatory arthritis and soft tissue disorders. He also sees individuals suffering from less well defined conditions such as fibromyalgia and upper limb disorders.

Considering that chronic pain often is associated with anxiety and uncertainty about the future, he believes that a holistic and tailored approach to treatment produces the most effective outcomes. Professor Kidd places strong emphasis on education and helping people to help themselves.

His research into pain mechanisms in the rheumatological diseases, as well as the early diagnosis and management of inflammatory spinal disorders are internationally recognized. He has a lifelong interest in medical education for doctors, allied health professionals as well as members of the public.
