Prof Braithwaite trained in Cambridge, London, Oxford and the USA. He has been a Consultant Vascular Surgeon since the summer of 2000. He has over 28 years experience in the treatment of varicose veins. His qualifications include Master of Surgery, Master of Arts, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, and Fellowship in General Surgery.
A pioneer of research into varicose vein treatment, Prof Braithwaite led the team that introduced the Olympus RFiTT keyhole technique. With roles in the field including Council Member of the Venous Forum of the Royal Society of Medicine; Clinical Lead for the Cardiac, Vascular and Respiratory Department at Circle Healthcare, Nottingham and Founder Member of the International Society for Vascular Surgery - you can be sure you’re in safe hands.
