I have recently undergone a finger joint replacement under the care of Ms Uppal to treat an existing sporting injury. During consultations prior to surgery Ms Uppal was very thorough in determining the different options for treatment. Immediately before and during the surgery Ms Uppal explained what was happening and what to expect taking a lot of the stress away from the situation. My surgery was 4 weeks ago and progress has been very good. Ms Uppal has a joined up approach to ongoing care with hand therapists and ongoing appointments with both have been arranged promptly and the level of care has been excellent, I would have no hesitation in recommending Ms Uppal.

Ms Uppal was incredibly professional and kind. She immediately made me feel less stressed and comfortable and was quick, and efficient during the procedure which left a minor scar that has now almost disappeared. She also checked in with me to see how my recovery was going which is something that I have never experienced before so was very pleasantly surprised by that. I would more than recommend her to anyone requiring plastic surgery and afraid of scaring and pain.

I cannot compliment Ms Uppal too highly as throughout the procedure for hand surgery she was reassuring and made me feel that I was in safe hands. Her manner was very relaxed and I am delighted with the result.

I was recently on holidays in London, where I had a fall resulting in an 8 cm laceration on my scalp and forehead which required stitching by a plastic surgeon. I was referred to Lauren Uppal by the hospital. I found Lauren to be professional, extremely competent and very kind. She stitched my wound beautifully, provided professional advice about possible side effects of the injury and provided me with her contact details in case I had any questions or concerns at all. I did have a query and she answered my email promptly. She provided the paperwork for my insurance company quickly and followed up to check on me and advise next steps as the wound healed. The wound is healing nicely. What I appreciated most about the experience (apart from the beautiful stitching done on my head) was the followup and care shown to me over and above what I would have expected. I can't thank Lauren enough for making what was a fairly traumatic start to my holiday a better experience.

You originally saw me for a lipoma and noted in my medical history that I had had breast cancer surgery leaving me very asymmetrical. Your attention to detail has resulted in me having a procedure which has changed my life and I am delighted. Thank you.

Thank you for taking so much care of me. What have previously been quite traumatic experiences made me feel a fraud! I can only imagine it was a 'women's touch' with the needle because I hardly felt it! You were so gentle with me and I really appreciated your kindness. With very best wishes and thanks again.

I wanted to thank you for your excellent care of me. You were most diligent about examining my abdominal wounds very carefully, while at all times observing aseptic technique and my modesty! Your excellent manner and explanation were most helpful and you made a real difference to my stay and outcome.

I wanted to place on record my thanks for the treatment I received. I am sure that you have many more interesting and challenging cases than a mere little finger. But, in this digital age I have been delighted to hang on to the appendage, the more so as the paramedic believed, as I did, that I would lose it. Once again, thanks for the treatment and for keeping me informed.

I would like to feedback on the excellent care I received recently. I attended with a deep laceration to my hand. The triage staff were great and took me straight through to dress the wound, gave me prompt analgesia and arranged an xray. Miss Uppal herself was wonderful. Taking the time to review me and explain the procedure, prognosis, aftercare and answer all my questions. When I was taken through to theatre, the arm block was painless, quick and everyone helped me feel relaxed throughout the whole procedure. Thank you!

Please convey my thanks to the hand team who were exceptional when I tore my tendon in my wrist last week. Everyone I came into contact with from the first person in Urgent Care, to Miss Uppal whom I saw the following day, was utterly professional, empathetic and caring. For a hospital at the front line to provide such a level of care for a relatively minor injury is utterly fabulous. Thank you.
