Ms Jane Olver is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, Oculoplastic and Lacrimal Surgeon at Clinica London. She also serves as the Medical Director of Clinica London where all ophthalmic sub-specialities are covered.
Ms Jane Olver qualified in Medicine from the University of London in 1979 and undertook her training at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School. Ms Olver developed a particular interest towards Ophthalmology. More specifically, she completed training in Oculoplastics and Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Her areas of interest include General Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Eyelid and lacrimal Surgery. This includes the treatment of common complaints such as conjunctivitis, chalazion, dry or watering eyes, and corneal abrasions, through to complex oculoplastic surgery for dropped eyelids (ptosis), eyelid hooding (blepharoplasty) and interning and out turning eyelids (entropion and ectropion). She also treats thyroid eye disease, facial palsy and eyelid tumours.
Aside from her clinical work, she was the Author of two Ophthalmology books and more than 60 peer-reviewed articles, as well as a National and International Lecturer on eyelid problems and watering eye surgery.
Ms Olver is the President Elect of the International Society of Dacryoplogy and Dry Eyes and London Meeting Organiser for the 2020 ISD-DE Congress in London.
