



Ear Nose & Throat Surgery
Ms Helen Caulfield is a leading Consultant Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon with HCA Healthcare. She works at The Portland Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and Golders Green Outpatients and Diagnostics Centre, along with an NHS post at the Royal Free London Trust, where she is clinical lead for Paediatric ENT and runs the Tongue Tie service. Her subspecialties include paediatric sleep apnoea and has written books on the topic along with national and international publications.
Ms Caulfield graduated in 1987 with a Medical Degree from the world-renowned University Colege London Hospital and obtained her first surgical rotational post at UCLH. She completed further training posts at Kings College in Neurosurgery, and at Charing Cross Hospital in General Surgery before specialising in her chosen field of ENT. She completed an extensive training scheme across numerous centres of excellence including the prestigious Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital and the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford. Her expertise in Paediatrics stems from a two-year Fellowship at the Childres Hospital in Sydney Australia under the guidance of world-famous Paediatric Laryngologist Bruce Benjamin. She returned to the UK where she spent 12 months at Great Ormond Street before being offered a Consultant post at the Royal Free Hospital where she remains today.
