Dr Aoiffe Kilcommons is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist who worked for the NHS for more than 15 years before establishing her private practice Happiness in Mind in 2006. This provides services covering all aspects of clinical psychology. She later set up the Resilience in Mind Centre, with the aim of training and supporting elite athletes to control their mind and emotions in order to perform at their very best. She specialises in providing clinical psychology, mental resilience training and cognitive training.
Dr Kilcommons qualified in Psychology from the University of Manchester in 1998, before achieving more qualifications and extensive psychology training. She has a huge amount of experience with professional athletes from the Premier League, and from Rugby, Gymnastics and Boxing. Her mental resilience approach involves educational and skills-based training along with holistic approaches and using research to improve athlete performance.
