Mr Tariq Miskry is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician based at St Mary’s Hospital in London. He specialises in minimal access surgery for endometriosis, fibroids and heavy periods.
After qualifying from the University of London in 1990, he completed specialist training in London. He then spent three years at the Royal Free Hospital as a Fellow in laparoscopic surgery and research. Following this, he undertook a visiting Fellowship in Sydney gaining further experience in keyhole surgery and management of fertility problems. He was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St. Mary’s Hospital in 2003. He is now the Clinical Lead for Benign Gynaecology at St Mary’s, well as Lead Surgeon for the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy at the Endometriosis Surgical Centre at Imperial.
He has an interest in clinical research in his field and is regularly published in peer-reviewed journals. He is also actively involved in minimal access surgery training for undergraduates and postgraduates, and is regularly invited to present at national and international meetings.
