Mr Sotiris Vimplis is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Whipps Cross University Hospital.
Following completion of his undergraduate studies in 1994, he undertook his specialist registrar training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Nottingham University Hospitals. During this time, he completed special skills training course in gynaecological oncology, laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy and gynaecological ultrasound and was awarded the membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2004 and the title of specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2007.
Following that, he worked for 2 years as a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham Hospital, before later moving to London and joining Whipps Cross. He is the lead clinician for colposcopy and gynaecological cancer services at Whipps Cross Hospital.
In his spare time, Mr Vimplis is known for his commitment to supporting philanthropic causes and travels to remote villages in Nepal in order to carry out surgical camps for charity.
