Simon focuses exclusively on treating patients with hip problems. He performs a high volume of hip replacements, hip arthroscopy, revision hip replacement and hip injections each year.

Simon completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Southampton. He was appointed to the prestigious academic post on the North-West London orthopaedic training rotation. During this time he completed a PhD at Imperial College London. This included novel work on implant coating materials and the development of patient specific guides for surgery.

Simon completed a specialist hip fellowship at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital which has an outstanding reputation for joint replacement surgery. He received specialist training in keyhole hip surgery (arthroscopy) and partial knee replacement surgery, including the industry leading Oxford Partial Knee Replacement. At the end of this fellowship he was appointed as a permanent consultant in the unit and now co-leads the fellowship programme, teaching the next generation of hip and knee surgeons. He has received highly specialist training in surgery for hip dysplasia at Guy’s Hospital in London and is lead for the adult peri-acetabular osteotomy service in Oxford.
