Mr Simon Marsh trained at Trinity College Cambridge and the Clinical School, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and was one of the few students to be awarded the William Harvey Studentship in consecutive years. His MD thesis, from the University of Cambridge focused on the role of growth factors in breast cancer. Â
The Gilmore Groin and Hernia Clinic has treated more than 8000 people for groin problems, including over 400 internationals, since it was founded in 1980. It pioneered the team approach to diagnosis and treatment of groin problems and is part of the London Sports Injury Clinic. The standard anatomical repair of Gilmore’s Groin is now termed the Marsh Modification of the Gilmore Technique, reflecting the adaptations that have been made since 2010.
It is this combination of research and clinical excellence that ensures that Mr Marsh is able to provide the best standards of treatment and care to his patients.Â
