“Mr. Clarke is one of the most professional and caring doctors we've ever met! Our 2-year old went through a diaphragmmatic hernia which was quite difficult to diagnose from the X-ray (we were given 4 possible diagnoses) but Mr Clarke always suspected that's what it was and he was proved right several tests later. He explained what will happen during the surgery in great detail and it all went smoothly as expected. He made the key-hole incisions from the back (rather than tummy which I know some other surgeons do) and I think this helped with recovering faster (and it meant our little one couldn't see the plasters and get distressed!). He was happy to answer any questions post-surgery as well, always responding via email putting us at ease. I would highly recommend him!“

From the initial consultation, through my daughter's 2 surgeries, from which she had an excellent recovery, to the follow up appointments Doctor Clarke has been brilliant. Calm, caring, supportive and very professional. He is extremely knowledgeable and competent, taking time to explain clearly the treatment plan and making me feel very reassured. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mr Clarke was excellent at explaining to our 12 yr old son, not only what was happening to him but also what his choices were going forward. He has a lovely manner and put him (and us) at ease straight away. We left his office, feeling well informed of our choices and confident we were in good hands. My son said Mr Clarke was the nicest Dr he'd ever met and he's met many!!

Mr Simon Clarke is an excellent doctor in every way, with a lovely bedside manner. He is very experienced. He acted very promptly to remove my daughters appendix (the same day). Her scars are minimal and recovery was quick. We are very grateful to him for all he has done for us and would highly recommend him.

We have received an excellent care all round from initial consultation through the surgery & follow up appointments. Dr Clarke has a great personalised approach to treating children, puts the whole family at ease & makes you feel like you are the only patient he has. He is incredibly attentive & compassionate. He puts complex medical concepts into simple understandable terms & carries out difficult surgical procedures with an ease of a highly skilled professional. In my son’s words “he is the best doctor ever”! We would highly recommend him to anyone with similar conditions (removal of distal oesophagus cyst & fundoplication).

Mr Clarke provided us with a brilliant service and absolutely fantastic care. He is an expertly skilled surgeon and did a marvellous job, the operation went well and he even took the trouble to call to check all was still good soon after we got home. Nothing was too much trouble and we are extremely grateful. He also has an efficient and helpful secretary which is really important. We would absolutely recommend him.
