



Orthopaedic Surgery
Mr Sherief Elsayed is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and the Lead Clinician for Spinal Surgery at Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals. He qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000 and trained in Trauma & Orthopaedics on the prestigious Nottingham rotation. Subsequently, he undertook a subspecialist fellowship training in spinal surgery at the world-renowned Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery, at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.
Mr Elsayed is an expert in the operative and non-operative treatment of various spinal conditions including degenerative conditions, spinal tumours, spinal trauma (fractures, dislocations, spinal cord injuries), spinal infections, and spinal deformities (scoliosis and kyphosis).
Mr Elsayed has a keen interest in clinical research and has co-authored numerous publications in the field of spinal surgery; in addition, he has presented at many national and international courses and conferences. He is also passionate about education and is the Co-Founder and Course Director of NSpine, the world's most comprehensive course in spinal surgery and associated specialties. In recognition of his extraordinary medical achievements, Mr Elsayed has been honoured by being made an Ambassador for the City of Nottingham.
