Award-winning Consultant Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon, Mr Shaheen Khazali, is globally renowned as an expert in the field of endometriosis and has devoted his career to cring for women with advanced endometriosis. Mr Khazali's NHS base is the Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Surrey, where he is a Senior Endometriosis Surgeon at the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG), widely acclaimed as a Centre of Excellence for endometriosis treatment.
After completing his basic surgical training in London and Cambridge, Mr Khazali embarked upon his specialty training at John Radcliff Hospital in Oxford. He then ventured to the south of England to continue his training, working at hospitals in Pool, Southampton and Winchester. Mr Khazali is also an honorary senior lecturer and faculty member at the University of Surrey. He also frequently shares his research and experience in the field as a speaker at national and international congresses.
Mr Khazali is a firm believer in a patient-centred approach to care. He places significant importance on taking time to listen to each patients specific needs and providing them with a thorough explanation of their treatment options. He highly praises his personal assistant, Emma, for her consistently kind and accommodating nature, always going out of her way to ensure each patient feels comfortable and is well taken care of.
