    About

Mr Seni Subair is an obstetrics consultant based at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He also sees patients at The Portland Hospital, where he is the maternity services lead obstetrician and The Harley Street Centre for Women. He specialises in pregnancy and labour care and treats both high-risk and low-risk pregnancy patients. He is also involved in medical leadership in obstetrics and clinical governance.

Mr Subair has a particular interest in complicated pregnancies and he regularly provides training to midwives and doctors on emergencies in maternity services. He is also interested in psychological disorders in pregnancy.

Mr Subair has been labour ward lead obstetrician, obstetrics risk lead, and maternity guidelines lead at UCLH. He is currently part of the high-risk pregnancy multi-disciplinary team there and works alongside midwives, haematologists, and cardiologists. He also runs a specialist clinic for women who have previously had a caesarean section. He promotes maternal choice and is happy to support water births or elective caesarean section following appropriate counselling.

Mr Subair gained his MB BS from the University of Ibadan in 1998 before going on to complete postgraduate training in London. He is a member of the British Intrapartum Care Society (BICS) and the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society (BMFMS).

It is important that HCA is transparent about our relationship with those doctors who provide us with clinical guidance on delivering the best possible care to patients and operating our hospitals safely and efficiently. We set out here some of the ways in which we work together and the amount we pay this doctor for such services.
