Dr Sanjay Anand is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in all aspects of knee surgery. He has an NHS practice at Stepping Hill Hospital, as well as a private practice at Alexandra BMI Hospital, solely dedicated to knee surgery. Dr Anand often looks after both professional and amateur athletes from a variety of different sports and therefore is able to treat a wide range of sports injuries.
Dr Anand is a keen researcher, his current interests lie in the use of stem cells for treating cartilage injuries, regenerating tissue and preventing osteoarthritis. His research has been published on a national and international level. Additionally, Dr Anand is an active teacher, often providing training and skills development for junior orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists and general practitioners.
Dr Anand is an Honorary Clinical Director at the University of Manchester as well as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Salford University in the Department of Health, Sport and Rehabilitation.
