“Mr Chana has my trust and admiration. He has carried out a full knee replacement and now a Hip replacement on me. He has been very approachful and pleasant to deal with from our first consultation to post Op appointment, explaining what he would do and how and what I needed to do to assist my own recovery after the operations. His staff are polite and efficient. I have recommended him to others and I know of folk who have also been under his care who have nothing but praise for him.“

As the first time ever spent in hospital, I have been very fortunate to be quite a healthy person, unfortunately had an accident some time ago which left me with a problem in my left leg, tried to brave it out, but it finally caught up with me, After meeting Mr Chana, it came as a shock to find out that a Total Hip replacement was required, but his calm relaxing manner put me at ease as he explained the process to come. I was obviously a little apprehensive, however Mr Chana was very professional, and from the first consultation until my final meeting with him last night has been an amazingly good experience. I would like to thank all the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital who were friendly, courteous and very helpful during my short visit, and I would highly recommend treatment from Mr Chana to anyone, he is a total credit to his profession, a mere thank you did not seem enough, but that’s all I could do. Again many thanks Mr Chana for giving me a fresh lease of life

I had a problem with my ankle for 2 years. I was in constant pain, albeit a dull ache. I saw Dr Chana after about a year or so of different consultants and he said that he wanted to try a few ideas first but thought that I could require surgery. I was sent for a PRP injection into the affected area and that seemed to work for about 6 weeks, then the pain came back. Dr. Chana then scheduled an operation date to remove the part of the heel that was giving me the pain. To do this he would have to cut through my achilies tendon. After the operation Dr Chana told me that he changed his mind during the operation and shaved the ankle bone without cutting the achilles. This meant a much faster recovery time and I could go home the same day. I have met with Dr. Chana twice since the op and can safely say that he has sorted it. I am back running and feel no pain in the ankle whatsoever. A huge thanks goes to Dr. Chana and his team. I was sceptical but it's all worked out!

It has now been 7 weeks since my full hip replacement for which I would like to thank Mr Chana and all the staff at Ashford hospital for there professional care. From the start of the process i.e. MRI, consultant, surgeon pre-op and nursing staff. I suffered very little pain and was up on feet in no time, as being self employed I was keen to start work again and playing golf which I did after 6 weeks. Thank you!

Having spent some time choosing a surgeon to perform my total knee replacement. Mr Chana lived up to his reputation and did a superb job. This was not straight forward ; being thirty years down the line from a nasty motorcycle accident the knee was in pretty poor shape. The end result was bordering on miraculous! He was very easy to talk to and showed just as much commitment post op. as he did pre op. Of particular note was a personal phone call from Mr Chana when my op had to be cancelled. It was due to a bladder infection and that posed a risk . It was most reassuring to have the position explained to me , and demonstrates that even when then things do not go as planned good communication is the answer, and more to the point it was from Mr Chana himself; it could so easily have been delegated . So, there we are , top marks all round !

I was lucky enough to have Mr Chana appointed as my surgeon, through the NHS, for a complete right hip replacement on 8 April 2016. It is almost a year since my procedure, carried out at High Wycombe, Shelburne Hospital, and I would like to pass on my thanks to him for a completely successful new hip. I would recommend him to anyone who has to undergo this type of surgery and hope that if and when my other hip needs attention I would be lucky enough to have Mr Chana again.

I underwent a total hip replacement surgery done by Mr Rish Chana on the 3rd of March 2016 and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a brilliant, skilled and caring Consultant. Before surgery I was in a lot of pain and unable to walk very far at all. He was very kind and explained everything at each stage. He answered all my questions in an understanding way which gave me the confidence in him. His team was also excellent and the care I received from Mr Chana and, the nursing staff and physio made the whole process easy to cope with. The surgery was life changing. I am now pain free and able to enjoy life again. Thank you!

Lucky enough to be referred to Mr Richi Chana for total right hip replacement in April this year. The procedure was carried out at The Shelburne hospital in High Wcombe. The operation was totally successful and I can walk normally after 6 weeks. My treatment at this hospital was excellent. Mr Chana has a calm and reassuring manner which was a great help before and after surgery. The physio at Chiltern was also excellent and I shall continue their exercise advice as recommended.

I had a total knee replacement on 16 may 2016 under the care of Mr chana , I was reluctant to go ahead with the operation as I had a partial knee replacement 17 months before which had gone wrong ( due to a metal allergy). I am so glad i had the operation . Mr chana is a very kind and compassionate doctor, I felt reassured by his calm manner and I felt I was being listened to and my feelings were taken into consideration. I would have no qualms about recommending Mr chana he is an excellent surgeon.
