Mr Raj Lakhani is a consultant ear, nose, and throat surgeon with a strong interest in rhinology and facial plastic surgery. He treats both adults and children and strives to deliver high-quality patient care to each individual. He is known for his great communication and listening abilities and regularly receives positive feedback from his patients.
Mr Lakhani earned his medical qualifications at St. Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He also undertook an intercalated Bachelor's degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine for which he received the Drapers Company Prize and the Research Advisory Board Award. Mr Lakhani honed his expertise at highly specialised rhinology centres and undertook further observerships at the world-renowned Hirslanden Klink in Zurich and the Clinica del Viso in Milan. He went on to complete an additional year of specialised training in rhinology and facial plastic surgery at St George's Hospital.
Mr Lakhani has a keen interest in clinical research. He has just under 30 peer-reviewed works to his credit and has delivered more than 50 scientific lectures both nationally and internationally. He has received awards for his clinical research, including the Royal Society of Medicine's 'Best Short Paper' award, and in 2016, he was nominated for the Royal Society of Medicine's national 'Trainee of the Year' award.
