“I was referred to Dr Patki on the back of a kidney ultrasound that identified a certain, unexplained mass. I was obviously very worried but Dr. Patki explained in simple terms what it could be an what we would need to do about it depending on the results of further analysis and managed to put me in a state of relative confidence. I am glad to report that after a few months and further scans the most benign of outcomes has now been verified.“

Mr Patki put me at ease, was easy to talk to and made the process as easy as he could for me. He made a point of calling me at 6pm on a Friday to relay some news rather than leave me anxious across a weekend. I was particularly grateful for that.

I visited Mr Patki because I was having some serious urological issues following radiotherapy treatments for prostate cancer. Mr Patki explained in a very clear way what he thought the problems might be and the risks associated with different forms of treatment. He then organised a follow up procedure which he conducted extremely skilfully with minimal discomfort. I have since had a follow up appointment in which he gave me a prescription. Mr Patki is a wonderful communicator and he explained the different options with me. I have full confidence in his skills and abilities.

Mr Patki was excellent throughout. He was clear, concise and completely honest and open about my diagnosis and treatment which was very much appreciated. He was considerate and flexible and accommodated my need for a late admission to hospital before my surgery which was hugely appreciated. I felt I was in the best of hands and went into my surgery with every confidence that Mr Patki was the best physician for the job.

Mr Patki was very clear and straightforward about the procedure, how it would be conducted, what potential issues might arise and drew a diagram displaying what would happen where and when during the procedure. The planned procedure was put on hold due to the Coronavirus situation and him and his assistant Gauri kept me informed of the situation so that we may carry out the procedure when regulations in place were relaxed. When this happened, they helped coordinate and facilitate with the hospital, including working within new Coronavirus-specific restrictions and guidelines and the procedure went ahead. I was impressed both from a medical as well as administrative point of view about the level of clarity and communication achieved by Mr Patki and his assistant, Gauri.

I privately consulted Mr. Prasad Patki for a tumour on my left kidney. During the first consultation Mr. Patki explained the nature of the tumour, what he planned to do and what the surgery involved and effects thereof. This detailed explanation built up my confidence and understanding of this type of surgery and its implications as a patient, thus feeling comfortable in his good hands. Mr. Patki performed the surgery using the DaVinci II robotic arm for removal of the tumour along with my left kidney. I was able to leave hospital after 48 hours at Royal Free Private Hospital. The aftercare, follow-up and advise has also been excellent with scheduled periodic scans to follow. I was given the all clear two weeks later, to confirm total removal of the malignant tumour. Mr. Patki's secretary Gauri was instrumental in diligently arranging all the appointments and scheduling the processes right through, which took all the pressure off me being a patient , having to call hospitals and surgeries to follow up on appointments. On behalf of myself and my family I must be thankful to Mr. Prasad Patki and the whole team at Royal Free level 12 for the total professionalism, special skills, wonderful care and commitment !

We met Mr Patki at RFH as a private patient. The way he put the patient at ease was unimaginable. He was realistic and honest about what to expect and how to go forward. We had a great time from the time we met and now more than two weeks down the line, no complications, full speedy recovery made a lot of difference. I have already recommended Mr Patki to two other patients and no doubt he will do a great job. I wish him all the best with great health and a long professional life span to serve more and more patients.
