“Review- Paul Culpan The surgical procedure I had of a total hip replacement with Mr. Paul Culpan was a fully satisfactory and positive experience. I was guided to select him as my consultant through my on line research of my particular issue. Access to a consultation was made simple through his super helpful support team. My initial meetings had to be remote online meetings, and in no way did I feel that this form of meeting was inferior to face to face. He clearly understood my circumstances of working abroad, thus having medical records from another country and returning back to UK. Once back in UK pre and post operative consultations and final surgery date was simply organised to suit my timetable. I felt that he understood my circumstances and my goals for leading an equally as active life style after surgery. Mr. Culpan clearly explained the pre and post procedures, and the possible risks or complications for the surgery. Any queries I had were answered in lay man’s terms and through discussion I could see that he sees every patient and their procedure as totally unique. He focused on the most efficient and least invasive form of surgery which led to a smaller wound and faster recovery. Although going under any type of surgery can be daunting I found his hospital/bed side manner was very reassuring and made me feel positive and relaxed under his care, alongside all the other support staff/clinic team. Realization of what pain I had been enduring for a number of years only came after the operation. From day 0 after the operation I woke up to notice that I did not have the continuous dull ache on left hip. I felt I progressed swiftly from day 1 and really felt like a new person. I had spent years of interrupted sleep and pain for numerous years which had made me restrain my activities, effect my mood, work and generally well being. At not quite 3 months post op I still feel daily/weekly advancement with recovery and no issues of pain whatsoever. Although not wishing for any other future similar procedure, if I had to, I would definitely opt to go under the knife with Paul Culpan. I would also recommend him to my family and best friends. “
