“This is not a first time I was in care of Mr Haddo and I am very grateful to him. He saw me very quickly, explained what has happened to my hand, organised diagnostic services. Then discussed my treatment in great details with me. Great doctor! “

    About

Mr. Omar Haddo is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in shoulder, upper limb, and trauma surgery. His skills include arthroscopic surgery for the shoulder and elbow and also shoulder replacement surgery, as well as some hand and wrist operations. Mr. Omar Haddo was appointed to the Whittington Hospital in 2008 which he still currently holds, and his private practice is based at The Wellington Hospital.

During his medical training at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, London (1990-1996), he also undertook a bachelor of science degree in Clinical Sciences at St Mary’s Hospital, London (1995).

His appointment to the Stanmore Orthopaedic Training Programme in 2002 offered him the opportunity to experience various aspects of orthopaedics, including peripheral nerve repair, paediatric orthopaedics and bone tumour surgery at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedics Hospital.

After this, Mr. Haddo undertook a fellowship at the internationally renowned Reading Shoulder Unit. This fellowship proved to be a valuable and insightful experience, where he developed his skills in arthroscopic surgery and also in shoulder replacement procedures.

His desire to keep updated with the latest discoveries and treatment options drives him to attend national and international conferences, where he has also given several presentations on a variety of topics. He made a great contribution to the medical literature by publishing a wide variety of scientific papers and book chapters over the last 10 years.

His involvement in teaching is a significant part of his work and he has been a faculty member on various orthopaedic and shoulder courses.

His vast experience and his holistic approach ensure that he individually tailors the treatment options and the management of the condition to suit the patient’s needs.

It is important that HCA is transparent about our relationship with those doctors who provide us with clinical guidance on delivering the best possible care to patients and operating our hospitals safely and efficiently.
