Dr Nitish Narvekar is a Consultant Gynaecologist and a Specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Minimal Access Surgery including Endometriosis and Fibroid Surgery, based in London.
Dr Narvekar qualified as a doctor in 1990 and has worked as a Gynaecologist in various hospitals and health care settings both in the United Kingdom and abroad. After completing his basic training in India, he moved to the UK in 1999 for further specialist training. He completed a research fellowship at the University of Edinburgh resulting in a Master’s degree ‘MD’ in Reproductive Medicine, followed by advanced specialist training in Reproductive Medicine, and, Minimal Access Surgery at University College London Hospital, resulting in dual specialist certification in 2008.
Dr Narvekar's expertise is in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, having performed in excess of 1000 complex operations for management of various gynaecological conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, uterine anomalies/septum, miscarriage, infertility, heavy and irregular menstrual bleeding, and pelvic pain. This has led to to him producing various publications in the fields of Reproductive Medicine and Minimal Access Surgery. Dr Narvekar is actively involved in the training, examination and supervision of students and specialists.
