Mr Nicolas Beechey-Newman is one of London’s most experienced and respected breast specialists. He works only in the private healthcare sector and is the founder and Clinical Director of the exclusive Harley Street Breast Clinic in central London.

Mr Nicolas Beechey-Newman graduated from Guy’s Hospital Medical School, London in 1983. He then went on to gain 14 years' experience in general surgery before becoming a Consultant at the Breast Unit at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals. He now specialises exclusively in breast disorders including benign breast problems, breast cancer and breast reconstructive surgery following breast cancer.

He was one of the first surgeons in the UK to perform sentinel node biopsy after visiting Dr Armando Giuliano who first described the technique. Nicolas also pioneered breast duct micro-endoscopy in Europe. He has researched and written extensively on these two subjects the latter being the subject of more than 2,000 media articles. He has published the only study in the world literature to look at the problem of breast cancer in very young women (less than 25 years of age).

Mr Beechey-Newman runs daily clinics and can see new patients rapidly with or without a referring letter from a General Practitioner. Mr Beechey-Newman specialises in the assessment and diagnosis of all breast conditions including breast cancer. Mr Beechey-Newman heads up an expert diagnostic team of radiologists and pathologists who specialise exclusively in breast conditions. In cases of breast cancer Mr Beechey-Newman’s team at The Harley Street Breast Clinic includes a small group of Internationally renown medical and radiation Oncologists. Mr Beechey-Newman also oversees the breast screening service at The Harley Street Breast Clinic.
