Consultant ophthalmic surgeon, Mr Niall Patton, is based at the prestigious Manchester Royal Eye Hospital where he specialises in all aspects of vitreoretinal surgery and is a pioneer of cutting-edge vitreoretinal techniques.
Mr Patton qualified from Manchester University in 1996 before going on to train in ophthalmic surgery at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh. He was also chosen to undertake four years of fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at a number of global institutions including the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
Mr Patton joined Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in 2008 and strives to maintain the highest standards of care. He is also the director of the Manchester Vitreoretinal Fellowship Program which allows international ophthalmologists to enhance their vitreoretinal surgical skills.
