



Cardiothoracic Surgery
Mr Nagarajan Muthialu is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has special interests in cardiac, thoracic and tracheal diseases of children including transplantation. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Bangalore and was awarded the Price Memorial Prize for having achieved the highest mark in his class. He has since gone on to win many prizes in recognition of his exceptional perfomance in a broad range of fields including Surgery, Ophthalmology, Chest Diseases and Pathology.
Mr Muthialu is a member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons amongst others and is involved in many fields of research. Mr Muthialu is currently involved with the NIHR-funded project for the risk categorisation of paediatric and congenital cardiac surgery. He has also published academic papers extensively in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents his work at national and international meetings.
