



Orthopaedic Surgery
Mr Michael Wilkinson is a highly-trained and experienced Consultant specialising in Orthopaedic Surgery. He currently works at The Lister Hospital in Chelsea, London. Mr Wilkinson graduated in 1982 from Westminster Medical School, and then undertook his basic surgical training in Hampshire. He completed the St Mary’s registrar rotation, which involved working and training in several hospitals. He was appointed to the Charing Cross Senior Registrar rotationin 1992, and then spent 1995 as the Senior Registrar in Knee and Trauma Surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital of Sydney. On his return to the UK in 1996, he was a Senior Registrar and then Locum Consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
He was then apointed as a substantive Consultant at King’s College Hospital in 1997 where was the principal Knee Surgeon until his retirement from the NHS in 2019. He has a particular interest in soft tissue knee surgery and degenerative disorders. He is also highly experienced in performing arthroscopic surgery for meniscal and ligament injuries. He is an Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King's College Hospital and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London..
