He was awarded his primary medical degree from Nottingham Medical School in 2000, before going on to complete his higher surgical training on the prestigious Bristol rotation. After successfully completing this he was awarded a fellowship specifically in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
Mr Walton developed his interest in sports injuries from a very early stage in his career and pursued postgraduate training in the area. Having been awarded a Masters with Merit from the University of Bath in 2010 in Sports and Exercise Medicine, he then travelled to Perth for sub-speciality training where he had the opportunity to work alongside some of the world's leading healthcare specialists at the University of Western Australia. Here he was intimately involved in the management and treatment of top-level athletes and military and was given the chance to develop and perfect his surgical techniques.
