Mr. Falworth qualified in Medicine from King’s College Hospital, London in 1996 and then completed his higher specialist orthopaedic training in London and the South East before undertaking more specialist training at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. Mr. Falworth then undertook just under two years of further fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery, both in the UK and abroad, before being appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in 2006.

Mr. Falworth provides a comprehensive service covering all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including providing a significant revision service to other orthopaedic surgeons throughout the UK. His practice is based on the multi-disciplinary approach to the management of shoulder and elbow conditions with physiotherapy and interventional radiology techniques always considered before recommending surgery. All treatments are evidence based and patients wishes are integral to decision making and the full remit of arthroscopic and open surgery is available.

From 2012 to 2017, Mr Falworth was the Clinical Lead to the Shoulder and Elbow Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He was elected as Treasurer to the British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) in 2017 and he is also an elected member of the BESS Council. He is widely published in orthopaedic research literature and regularly lectures nationally and internationally on shoulder and elbow surgery. In 2018 he was awarded a prestigious BESS Copeland Fellowship by his peers to project the work of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society internationally.
