I had an initial telephone consultation with Mr Ghei as I raised concerns over my need to have to void twice in quick succession and a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying. Mr Ghei initally listened patiently as I expressed my concern that I may have a urethral blockage. However when he suggested that as next steps he will have a cystoscopy arranged I was a bit hesitant as I had already researched and found that a Urine Flow rate test was the gold standard indicator of a blockage. When I enquired about having a Flow rate test done instead I was abruptly told that Flow rate tests are highly unreliable and I would need to have at least several done at different times of the day in order to get an accurate result. I'm now seeking a second opinion to verify this and I'm hoping that I can get a Flow Rate test done instead.
