He can perform implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation devices and is an accredited cardiac device specialist. He also performs catheter ablation for all arrhythmias, including supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.

During his training years, he has also gained experience at Harvard Medical School associated Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, USA.

Dr Koa-Wing has a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology from Imperial College, London, with his research findings resulting in a major multicentre clinical trial in ventricular tachycardia ablation in addition to the development a novel 3D mapping system for ablation of complex arrhythmias (Ripple Mapping), now in clinical use.

Dr Koa-Wing is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, British Cardiac Society, European Society of Cardiology and British Heart Rhythm Society.
