“Dr Kunde saw me from 30 weeks of pregnancy through to delivery and after care. Upon meeting a number of consultants at St Thomas Hospital, I decided to go with him due to his calm and professional manner. I’m glad I did because the overall experience has been great and especially having known I wanted an elective c section from the beginning, it was definitely the right decision. His patience in explaining pros and cons of different options has made me feel at ease and like I could make the right decision for myself. The procedure itself was seamless and painless, the healing was way better than I had anticipated, I’m sure this is due to his expertise at c section surgery. The wound healed very quickly and I felt fit to exercise from week 3 already (but of course waited to do so until after the 6 week checkup). He’s reachable via mobile throughout the time you’re under his care any time of day. Highly recommend his services.“

This is a long overdue review for Mr Kunde whom I regard so highly and hope to recommend to mums to be. Mr Kunde delivered my daughter under planned C section on Feb 16 at St Thomas’. He is an excellent doctor and I’m so thankful for how well he took care of me. I’m originally from Singapore, and being so far away from home I was constantly anxious as I wasn’t sure how things worked in the UK but Mr Kunde was always patient and so kind. He took the time to answer my questions during consultations and even my text messages in the middle of the night. On the day of my planned C section everything was calm and I had an amazing experience. I was worried about having an ugly scar because of the C section but this was not the case at all. My scar is barely visible as Mr Kunde used surgical glue and the aftercare was minimal. A fantastic doctor, I highly recommend Mr Kunde :)

Very calm and caring Doctor. All my questions and concerns were answered quickly. Everything went very smoothly. It took no time from my first call to make an appointment to the actual surgery.

Though I had multiple hospital admissions for antepartum haemorrhage due to low lying placenta, I had my baby induced safely through Dr Kunde's care at 38 weeks. I could not recommend Dr Kunde highly enough for his dedication and skill. Though multiple hospital admissions, I understood that within NHS, there would not be one single doctor looking after you throughout your pregnancy and on the delivery it could all be an unfamiliar name. This scared me (although I am sure many people may not mind). We saw Dr Kunde regularly who would check on my condition and baby's growth every time and rest assure us. Under Dr Kunde's advice, I had been house rest mostly and participated in limited housework. Luckily at 37 week's scan, it shows that my placenta was up and it may be possible for vaginal delivery, although we understood there were still risks on placenta abruption which may require theatre admission during birth. On the induction date, everything went very smoothly until blood clot appeared during contraction. Dr Kunde advised us that a c-section would be required for my safety. We were so sad but signed the agreement before we entered the theatre. Dr Kunde understood how importantly that we would like to avoid c-section, so minutes after the theatre was prepared (literally 10 mins after we signed the c-section agreement), he checked on me carefully again and made the best decision ever - he would try to deliver my baby naturally because he saw that I was fully dilated and baby was in the best position to come out. Within 10 minutes, Dr Kunde helped me deliver my healthy baby boy though forcep (baby did have some little marks on his face but they were both gone within 2 days after birth!). We were filled with joy and indescribable happiness. Thank you doctor!

    Patient seen for:
Dr Kunde is an outstanding doctor. I have been seeing him for around a year now, from the beginning he has always been so kind, compassionate, informative and generally just a fantastic doctor. He quickly picked up on the issue I had (endometriosis), after many many years of pain, misdiagnosis & no help from GPs. He also performed my laparoscopic surgery which went really smoothly and was such a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Kunde highly enough & will be forever grateful for what he has done for me.
