    Mr Khaled Sarraf qualified and completed his basic surgical training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. His speciality training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery was undertaken on the Imperial North West Thames rotation. Following that, he was given the opportunity to complete a fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He was awarded the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Zimmer Travel award in adult hip and knee reconstruction which he undertook at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada after his qualification as an orthopaedic surgeon in the UK. During his time in Canada, he also spent some time at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (SickKids) focusing on paediatric trauma, as well as lower limb and sports conditions.

    Subsequently Khaled was appointed as a consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (based both at St Mary's Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital) and Clinical Lead in paediatric orthopaedics and trauma. His specialist interest lies in all aspects of trauma, hip and knee conditions and sports injuries of all ages. He is able to perform a wide variety of procedures, including trauma surgery, adult hip and knee reconstructive and joint replacement surgery as well as minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery and joint preservation surgery.

    During his career, Khaled has been actively involved in education and was the education lead during his higher surgical training and is currently an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London. He has 2 patents and is also involved in instrument design & development with several instruments currently sold in the US. He has authored two books, multiple book chapters and published over 40 research papers in the field of orthopaedics. He has presented his research in national and international conferences.     I can't recommend Dr Sarraf enough. He was very accommodating when I tried getting a last minute appointment because I was travelling. I went to see 3 doctors before him for my hip and knee problems and he was the only one that I felt took the time to really listen and take my issues seriously. Exceptional bed side manner! I wish I found him sooner! Thank you Dr Sarraf, after months of pain and not being able to participate in sports activities like I always had , I'm now back to my old self.

    Bedside Manner
    I have requested an appointment with Dr. Sarraf after having bad pain in my hips few months after having my baby and my experience was great. Dr. Sarraf was very punctual and attentive when I described to him what I was suffering from. He examined me throughly and requested an X-ray and MRI in order to u certains better the situation. After receiving the results I have seen Dr. Sarraf again and he explained to me In details that my issue was related to my pelvis and not my hips and he shared with me the images in order for me to visualize the situation better. I felt very comfortable with his approach because he took me through the next steps and proposed rest time and anti inflammatory meds. His report came very detailed and very professional. Dr. Sarraf showed excellent bed manners and he was efficient, attentive and patient.
