



Mr Jonathan Ramsay is a Consultant Urologist based in London, specialising in the treatment and diagnosis of male fertility.
Mr Ramsay completed his undergraduate training at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School in 1977 and went on to undertake specialist training in America. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Urologists in 1987 and his first consultant post was in 1988 at Hammersmith Hospital.
Mr Ramsay is a consultant urologist specialising exclusively in male fertility and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of male subfertility and infertility.
Mr Ramsay has a passion for research, focusing on male fertility. His research on sperm retrieval, vasectomy reversal and genetic causes of infertility has been widely published. Mr Ramsay works with the Endocrinology unit at Hammersmith Hospital to look into the effects of weight loss and diet on fertility. He is also involved in research into sperm quality and DNA fragmentation.
Mr Ramsay is involved in the training of junior urologists and he is an examiner on the Intercollegiate Board of Urology and a member of the London Clinical Senate Council. He lectures on a national and international level and is a trustee to two surgical education charities.
