Mr Joseph is a consultant ENT surgeon - he treats all forms of ENT diseases both in adults and children. He has a special interest in rhinological conditions, involving the nose and sinuses and is lead surgeon for sinonasal cancer treatment in his hospital. His extensive, fellowship level training has equipped him with the ability to treat complex sinus disease both medically and surgically and to also perform nasal reconstruction for both inherited and acquired nasal deformities.
Mr Joseph works hard to deliver the highest level of care to all his patients. He attends regular specialist meetings and keeps up to date with literature within his speciality to ensure he has the knowledge to deliver the best possible care to his patients.
Communication as a doctor is one of the most essential parts of any interaction with a patient. I work hard to maximise my skills in this area.
Thank you for such positive feedback. I work hard to address all cosmetic and functional issues related to a patient’s nose. My primary concern is always to ensure that good function is maintained. Producing a good cosmetic outcome is of course or great importance as well. Optimal function and appearance will often go hand in hand.
Listening to the patient is the key element of any consultation. Further targeted questions will then help me to come to a diagnosis. I always try to explain everything fully and then provide useful and pragmatic advice
With increased availability of theatre sessions I am able to offer surgery very quickly so the problem is dealt with and can fit in with people’s busy schedules
The decision on whether to proceed with an operation can be very difficult and stressful. My intention with all patients is to make this process as simple as possible by explaining all aspects of the surgery. I am very pleased to hear to that you were so happy with the experience
It is great to hear that the whole patient journey for you went very well. My team and I work hard to make sure that all aspects of patient care are taken care of. Thank you for the feedback!
This was a very interesting case for me. I could see that the previous surgery he provided some improvements to the nose, but the tip in particular was off centre and was at the wrong angle. I was able to identify the source of the problem during the surgery and corrected it with a simple cartilage strut placed in the correct position. I am so pleased that you are happy with the outcome.
Ear Nose & Throat Surgery
JJ has been a marvellous addition to the consultant team at the Royal National ENT Hospital. He has a subspecial interest in conditions of the nose and sinuses, and is in charge of sinonasal cancer management at our hospital. Indeed, JJ is my go-to-guy for cases of sinonasal cancer, both in-house NHS and privately.
