    About

Jonathan Hutt is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Hip Surgery.

After completing his medical studies at New College, Oxford and Imperial College, Mr Hutt then undertook specialist orthopaedic training in London. He was awarded a Fellowship in Lower Limb Reconstruction at the Université de Montréal in Canada and an additional Fellowship in Young Adult Hip Surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London.

His extensive experience and training has allowed him to develop a specialist interest in all aspects of hip surgery, He is experienced in advanced joint preservation techniques such as minimally invasive periacetabular osteotomy and hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) as well as hip reconstruction for other causes of hip pain in young patients. When preservation of the joint is not possible, he is experienced in hip replacement using both the direct anterior (DAA) and posterior approaches to the hip, as well as revision (redo) surgery. He has a particular interest in young patients with hip problems and complex surgery for failed hip replacements. He is involved in innovation and research in advanced hip preservation techniques as well as emerging hip technology and implants to improve patient outcomes.

Within the field of Orthopaedics, Mr Hutt is actively involved in innovation and research in advanced hip preservation techniques as well as emerging hip technology and implants to improve patient outcomes. He is active in medical education and regularly contributes his experience at training courses and at national and international conferences.

Dr Hutt is excellent at what he does and I have always felt very safe in his hands. He is very professional and I have had both hips done with him for PAO and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Thank you for everything!

Not having had a hip replacement before I can only say that Mr. Hutt explained everything to me which alleviated much concern I had about the operation, thus I went into the operation without any qualms, I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family should I be asked.

Following my recent arthroscopy with Mr Jonathan Hutt, I now have almost full movement in my left leg and it feels stronger already, although I am still working on developing the muscles. To say that I am delighted and thrilled is an understatement! I almost danced out of the Centre today. I finally feel like I have my life back and it is thanks to all of the team and particularly Mr Hutt for going down the route of releasing the tendon and saving me further major surgery. I hope that our combined experiences may benefit others in the future, and I hope to continue my rehabilitation back to full fitness. Best wishes.
