



Orthopaedic Surgery
Mr Ian Bacarese-Hamilton is a senior orthopaedic surgeon and the head of training at Whittington hospital, establishing his own private practice based at the princess grace hospital. He is a specialist in orthopaedics, bringing extensive experience in Arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee and both hip and knee replacement surgeries, whilst maintaining a broad interest in trauma and orthopaedic surgery.
Born in Gibraltar, Mr Bacarese-Hamilton educated in Hertfordshire and qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster hospital medical school in London. Undertaking his initial surgical training at Charing cross, he then demonstrated at St Thomas hospital and went on to Kingston hospital for his basic surgical rotation.
He was appointed Junior Orthopaedic Registrar at University College Hospital upon passing examinations in general surgery.
He then trained as Senior Registrar at Westminster and Westminster Children’s hospital, rotating to University College Hospital, The Whittington Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
He is a member of the British Hip Society, the British Hand Society and the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, whilst maintaining an active role in the management of trauma in both the NHS and privately.
