“From the very beginning, albeit, the first consultation had to be a zoom call as a result of the present Covid-19 situation, I felt reassured that all would go smoothly & according to plan. This it did & now six weeks after my hip replacement I am out of pain & walking tall again. (Very tidy scar too) Henry was very attentive, listened well, understood concerns & was extremely professional & caring in all aspects from beginning to end. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others regarding hip to toe problems & have, in fact, done so already. You’ll be in excellent hands. Thank you, Henry.“

I had my procedure on the 9th of January by Mr Henry Atkinson. He is one of the best Dr's I have ever come across. I was afraid to have this procedure done however he was very professional and understanding. He explained the procedure to me in detail and made the whole experience comforting. He was very respectful and down to earth and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Atkinson was referred to me by a friend and am extremely grateful that he took me on. My local authority refused me. Mr. Atkinson stated I was the worst case he had seen in all his years of service. He was able to reconstruct my left hip (28.9.19) and then carry out a total knee replacement (23.1.21). He asked for permission to use my details for a paper on my condition. I find Mr. Atkinson to be polite, gregarious and actively listens to information given. He also took the time to explain to my youngest autistic daughter how he was going to take care of her dad. I am most grateful that he took on in the first place and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He has given me a renewed quality of life.

Mr. Atkinson is truly exceptional! I felt like I was in good hands the moment I was called by him before the first hip operation. He is compassionate, empathetic, easy to talk to and relates exceptionally well. He always smiles and has a word of encouragement for every patient. He encouraged me throughout the hospitalization and recovery, explained everything to me professionally, answered all my questions in a very kind, caring and friendly way. Doctor Atkinson really strives to provide the best possible care for each of his patients.

Mr Atkinson listens to the patient, examines carefully and uses imaging where needed. He gives genuine advice and does not rush into surgery if he thinks a condition can be managed without an operation. I am a GP and I have returned to Mr Atkinson for more than one sports-related injury because I trust his advice and also his operating skills.

Mr Atkinson completed a full hip replacement for me in November 2020. The care and service provide from pre op through to the operation and after care has been excellent. He is knowledgeable, understanding and put me completely at ease. The operation went very smoothly and I have recovered quickly. I could not be happier.

I can't thank Mr Atkinson enough for his care, which has culminated in a total hip replacement (Symbios). Over the course of treatment he worked to get the best course of treatment, which was trying steroids, whose effect was very short lived, before my quality of life was so affected that a replacement was needed. Seven weeks on I feel great, am walking without a limp, and have fantastic mobility. I do of course need to strengthen the gluteus muscles. Mr Atkinson was totally professional, obviously is very well informed, has a lot of clinical experience, and made things happen in terms of my care. He explained thoroughly my options beforehand and made sure that I received what I needed when I had a rough few days after surgery (because of low blood pressure, etc). I can't recommend him highly enough. I have no more shooting pain and am not waking at 3 and 4am like I was.
