“After struggling with my hip pain and discomfort for a number of years. I obtained a private MRI from a clinic here in Lanzarote and forwarded to Mr Atkinson. A Zoom call was arranged and as I sat with my list of issues that I was experiencing that I had prepared before the call. Once the call start he explained that from these MRI images he could detect all the issues that I was experiencing. This was without me mentioning my list.     Mr Henry Atkinson received his medical degree from the University of Edinburgh in 1998. He qualified as a Bone and Joint (Trauma and Orthopaedic) Surgeon from 2008. As part of his training he completed renowned fellowships in Adelaide, Australia as well as in Canada and Serbia. His fellowships allowed him to gain extensive expertise in all lower limb surgeries. Mr Atkinson is thus adept and has experience in managing problems of the hip, knee and ankle. He has a particular interest in the management of sporting injuries.

    Mr Atkinson regularly lectures in Belgrade, Serbia and gives advice on the design and implementation of research projects.

    He is currently appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeon at North Middlesex University hospital, where he received an NHS Clinical Excellence Award in May 2012.

    Known for the energy and enthusiasm he brings to his practice and patients, he balances work with spending time with his wife and young family in the North London area.
