Dr Hazem El-Refaey is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in London, UK. Since graduating from Cairo University in 1981 he has gone on to practice across the UK, including in London, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. He holds multiple patents and has pioneered numerous life-saving treatments in his field which minimise complications during birth and, in 2011, his innovations were added to the World Health Organisation's Essential Medicine for Postpartum Haemorrhage.

Dr El-Refaey has over 25 years of impressive clinical experience. He has been based in London for more than 15 years, where he proposed and implemented the Pregnancy Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. With expertise in a range obstetric and gynaecological areas, he is well equipped to help women with issues such as heavy periods, fibroids, PMT, miscarriages, and menopause.
