Consultant Urological Surgeon, Mr Hama Attar, has been recognised for his clinical practice and has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Patient Care for three years running. He currently leads urology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where he specialises in general and diagnostic urology, particularly in prostate cancer and bladder cancer diagnostics. He also has expertise in the endourological management of complex kidney stones using minimally invasive techniques and laser technology and the diagnosis and laser treatment of kidney and ureteric urothelial tumours.
Mr Attar completed his advanced surgical training in London, where he spent his final year at the prestigious University College London Hospital, training in the treatment of urinary tract stones using minimally invasive techniques.
He also completed a one-year research post in Neuro-Urology at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore within the Spinal Injury Unit, where he gained extensive experience treating urological conditions such as kidney stones, bladder stones, bladder overactivity, incontinence, recurring infections, and erectile dysfunction.
Mr Attar is active in research and has published over 30 scientific articles in urological journals. He has presented his work at a number of international and national conferences.
